oHistorical Marker: The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission administers a program of historical markers to capture the memory of people, places, events, and innovations. More than 2,000 cast aluminum markers tell the important and interesting stories that are part of the history of Pennsylvania.

oEngagement: Activities SHPO engages in across the Commonwealth. This usually refers to in-person engagements with the general public, however, it can also relate to web-based ones as well.          

•Line Layers

oTransportation Projects: Linear data on Transportation projects in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

oState_Parks – State Park Hiking Trails: Trails maintained by Pennsylvania State Parks.

•Polygon Layers

oAbove Ground Resource: Building, Bridge, Cemetery, and other Above Ground structural resources and landscapes. 

oArchaeological Resource: Archaeological resources, including isolated finds and submerged archaeological sites and submerged vessels.

oDistrict Resource: National Register District and Local Historic District boundaries.

oProject Area of Potential Effect: Boundaries of Areas of Potential Effect (APE) related to Environmental Reviews. Inclusive of all effects.

oProject Level of Disturbance: Boundaries of Limits of Disturbance (LOD) related to Environmental Reviews. Limited to sub-surface effects.

oCertified Local Government: Boundaries of Certified and Candidate Certified Local Governments.

oAbove Ground Survey: Boundaries of Surveys conducted for Above Ground Resources.

oArchaeological Survey: Boundaries of Surveys conducted for Archaeological Resources.

oSchool Districts (PennDOT): Boundaries of local school districts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

oMunicipal Boundaries (PennDOT): Boundaries of Municipalities.
